Meet Our Medical Affairs Team

  Dr. Alan Huber

  Director of Medical Affairs

  Dr. Alan Huber was educated as a clinical pharmacist with bachelor's degrees in pharmacy and zoology from the University of Maryland, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Shenandoah University, and a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University School of Business. After completing a two-year internship in IV therapy at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, he has worked in the specialty pharmacy field for the past 20 years, serving in various positions throughout the industry including management roles in both nationally accredited home infusion companies and the plasma pharmaceutical industry.

  Dr. Huber has taught immunoglobulin therapy at various pharmacy schools in the US, including as an adjunct assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the University of California School of Pharmacy. Over the years, Dr. Huber has presented widely on the topic of IG therapy at many national conferences.

  Suzanne Strasters

  Head of Clinical Education

  Suzanne Strasters, MSN-FNP, IgCN is a Nurse Practitioner with twenty-one years of experience in clinical nursing. She began specializing in Ig infusion therapies in 2012 and has since become an expert on specialty Ig infusion therapy. Suzanne has worked for several leaders in the Ig industry, providing specialized clinical education to nurses, clinical staff and patients on various Ig therapies and associated disease states. Most recently, Suzanne served as a Medical Science Liaison, helping to launch a new specialty infusion device specifically for SCIG therapies. Suzanne is passionate about ensuring clinical staff and sales teams are well prepared to support the unique and complex patient population receiving Ig infusions. Currently, Suzanne is serving as the Head of Clinical Education for GC Biopharma USA.

  Dr. Stacey Ness

  Medical Science Liaison

  Dr. Ness holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and is currently serving on the Medical Affairs team at GC Biopharma USA. Previous professional experiences include serving as Vice President of Clinical Services at Managed Healthcare Associates, Inc. (MHA), a Clinical Program Manager for Prime Therapeutics, as Director of Clinical Services for BioScrip and as a pharmacist for the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview. She has significant experience in specialty pharmacy and in the clinical management of chronic diseases including immunoglobulin, oral oncology, multiple sclerosis, iron overload, transplant, rheumatoid arthritis, hemophilia, psoriasis, cystic fibrosis, hepatitis, HIV, infertility, and growth hormone deficiency. Other areas of interest include working with patient advocacy and support groups.

  Dr. Ness served on the Minnesota Medicaid Drug Formulary Committee for over a decade, served as president of the Immunoglobulin National Society for five years, and is a Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP), Immune Globulin Certified Pharmacist (IgCP), a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist (MSCS), and a credentialed HIV Pharmacist (AAHIVP).

  Dr. Laura Remy-Martin

  Field Medical Science Liaison

  Dr. Laura Remy-Martin, PhD, MPH, ACRP-CP, is a clinical research professional with more than 15 years of experience in human subjects research. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing, a master's degree in public health, and a doctoral degree in nursing all from the University of Missouri. Her PhD was funded through a National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) T32 award focused on health behavior science.

  During her career, Dr. Remy-Martin has collaborated on and led a variety of research projects, including the areas of rare diseases, infectious diseases, medication adherence, and new drug development. In addition, she has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations in medication adherence, health behavior, and cost-effectiveness. Prior to joining GC Biopharma USA, Dr. Remy-Martin worked in a clinical operations role supporting development and operationalization of late-stage, decentralized clinical trials.

  In her role as a Field Medical Science Liaison at GC Biopharma USA, Dr. Remy-Martin is committed to supporting KOL engagement and oversight of the investigator-initiated research (IIR) program.

  Dr. Chris Pratt, PharmD, IgCP

  Medical Science Liaison

  Dr. Chris Pratt earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and has more than 25 years of experience in pharmacy practice and patient care. Since specializing in immunoglobulin therapy in 2016, he has developed extensive expertise in the management of complex and rare disease states.

  Throughout his career, Dr. Pratt has collaborated with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and specialty pharmacy teams to support disease state education, market access initiatives, patient and provider engagement, product launches, adherence programs, and clinical strategy development. His experience includes both infused and self-administered specialty therapies across multiple therapeutic areas, including primary immunodeficiency, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), myasthenia gravis, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), IgA nephropathy, allergen immunotherapy, and rare endocrine disorders.

  Dr. Pratt is an active member of the immunoglobulin and specialty pharmacy communities. He has served on the Immunoglobulin National Society (IgNS) Therapy Standards of Practice Committee and holds the Immunoglobulin Certified Pharmacist (IgCP) credential. Additionally, he has served as an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Continuing Pharmacy Education Program Administrator and ACPE Continuing Education Field Reviewer. He remains committed to advancing clinical excellence and improving outcomes for patients with complex and rare diseases.
